Internships

USGLC is actively recruiting an ambitious team of interns to help us advocate for America’s diplomacy and development programs for the fall 2022 semester. We are currently providing internships in the following departments: Government Relations, Outreach, Policy, and Communications.

In addition to participating in day-to-day activities with their department, our interns have the opportunity to participate in intimate luncheon-style conversations with senior professionals, attend external events, gain valuable professional insight from staff mentorship, publish a blog on USGLC’s website, and build public speaking skills by presenting to our entire staff on a related topic at the conclusion of the internship.

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, our fall semester internship program will be a hybrid of in person and remote work. Please note that we are asking our interns to all be in DC for the duration of their internship so that they can take advantage of our weekly in-person programming. Current college students, graduate students, and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Interns must be able to commit at least 20 hours per week. We are pleased to offer a weekly stipend, or we will work with your institution to meet college credit requirements.

At USGLC, we are committed to a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion among staff, volunteers, partners, and programs.
