The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is seeking a detail–oriented, creative and nimble Events Assistant to work alongside our Program Team to assist in planning and implementing the USGLC’s in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, in the new and ever-changing events landscape. This position will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of the USGLC’s small- and large-scale events in over 30 states across the country and in Washington, D.C., as well as the signature events including the annual Tribute Dinner and Global Impact Forum. Limited domestic travel throughout the year is expected. The position will report to the Program Director and is based in Washington, D.C.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires at least 1 year of event planning and/or advance experience. Strong project management, organizational and communication skills are required. Interest in foreign policy is a plus, and passion for the organization’s mission is preferred. This position requires travel to various locations throughout the US. Ideal candidate will have high attention to detail, be self-motivated, and have expertise working with the Microsoft Office Suite, Google sheets, as well asvirtual event and meeting platforms, such as Zoom, MS Teams, Cisco Webex, etc. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and encouraged. The ideal candidate will have minimum of a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent amount of experience in a similar function in lieu of educational qualifications.
