Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson, Deputy Policy Director

Tom serves as the Deputy Policy Director of the USGLC. He previously served at USAID from 2020-2025, including as acting deputy for USAID’s New Partnerships Initiative, a reform effort launched under Administrator Mark Green to strengthen the Agency’s external collaborations. Prior, Tom handled Congressional reporting at the Defense Security Cooperation Agency and worked for U.S. Representative Randy Hultgren of Illinois. Tom has been involved in organizations dedicated to democratic values and internationalism, including the Institute on Religion & Democracy and the International Churchill Society. Originally hailing from suburban Chicago, Tom earned degrees from Wheaton College (IL) and the University of Chicago. When not working, he enjoys volunteering through his church, making pilgrimages to the UK, and exploring local history.
