Kelsey serves as the Communications and Press Manager. Previously, Kelsey led the Virginia Democratic Party’s communications team in Richmond during the 2024 and 2025 election cycles. Previously, as a Communications Officer at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), she helped manage the organization’s media relations and storytelling strategies, advancing the mission of strengthening worldwide democracies. She started her career as a political reporter at The Hill, co-authoring a daily newsletter about Congress and the White House, and held fellowships as a Washington correspondent for the Texas Tribune and Durango Herald. A native of Philadelphia, Kelsey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C. If she is working from home, her cat Toki will also probably be reading your email.
