The USGLC joins with voices around the country and the world in congratulating President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect J.D. Vance on winning the 2024 presidential election.

Our coalition, grounded in America’s heartland voices of business, faith, and veteran leaders, was inspired to see this year’s Republican foreign policy platform championing “Peace through Strength” as the core principle, and calling for “strengthening alliances” and “strengthening economic, military, and diplomatic capabilities.” We look forward to building on the many innovative diplomatic and development programs launched during President Trump’s first Administration – from catalyzing private sector investments with the new International Development Finance Corporation, to promoting local sustainability with USAID’s Journey for Self-Reliance, to igniting women’s economic empowerment through the W-GDP initiative. These investments continue to pay dividends at America’s kitchen tables every day.

At a time of massive global threats from America’s rivals, we stand ready to work with the Trump-Vance Administration and the 119th Congress to strengthen American leadership on the global stage to protect the security and economic interests of American families here at home.
