USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah: A Transformational, Innovative Leader

In response to the announcement that USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah will soon step down, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition President & CEO Liz Shrayer issued the following statement:

“Raj Shah is a transformational leader who has steered USAID through important reforms, bringing an effective, evidence-based approach to the agency. His innovative spirit and bipartisan outreach have truly made an impact.”

Last Wednesday, December 10, the USGLC honored Dr. Shah and Senators Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and Tim Kaine (D-VA) at its annual Tribute Dinner. Known as the “Smart Power Prom,” the event brought together nearly 900 influential players involved in diplomacy and development.

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition unites business, military, faith, and political leaders to strengthen U.S. investments in international affairs. An influential network of more than 400 organizations across the country, the USGLC engages policymakers and helps educate the American public on the importance of tools of development and diplomacy in strengthening America’s global leadership.
