First elected in 2010, Rep. Kinzinger is a champion for the International Affairs Budget and serves as a Deputy Republican Whip. Throughout his service in the House, he has worked in a strong bipartisan manner to support funding for development and diplomacy programs, especially among fellow veterans. This year he traveled to Ethiopia and Kenya with USGLC to see first-hand the positive impact of these programs. A pilot in the Wisconsin Air National Guard, Rep. Kinzinger served five tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and currently holds the rank of Major. He lives in Channahon, IL.
General Charles Wald, USAF (Ret.) leads Deloitte’s Federal Government Services Department of Defense Practice. A 35-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, General Wald was Deputy Commander of United States European Command. Prior to that, he was the U.S. Air Force deputy chief of staff for Air and Space Operations. Having served in other senior positions, General Wald also led the coalition air campaign during Operation Enduring Freedom in Iraq, served the Director of Strategic Planning and Policy for the U.S. Air Force, and served on the Joint Staff as the Vice Director for Strategic Plans and Policy. He is a member of the USGLC’s National Security Advisory Council.
