Parker serves as Deputy Government Relations Director of the USGLC. Prior to joining, he was working at the International Republican Institute (IRI), where he served in various roles, including Resident Program Director for Indonesia and Timor-Leste. Living in Jakarta and Dili, he served as IRI’s senior in-country representative and implemented democracy and governance programs funded by the National Endowment for Democracy, the State Department, and the US Agency for International Development. He has lived in six countries and worked in 13, with experience across government, policy, and politics. He started his career as an aide to then-House Speaker John A. Boehner and worked on political and public affairs campaigns in his home state of Ohio. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Management and Global Politics from George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
