Monica arrives at the USGLC after earning her M.A. in International Affairs at the Elliott School at George Washington University, where she researched gender-based violence towards women in Liberia and worked with Young Playwrights’ Theater, a small non-profit arts education organization. In 2017, Monica was a finalist for the Rangel International Affairs Fellowship, the Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship, and the USAID Payne International Development Fellowship. Monica earned her B.A. in Spanish at Howard University, where she studied abroad in Mexico, Spain, and India.
