Commitment to Curriculum Participation:
Our expectation is that all accepted Next Gen participants will be available to fully participate in all scheduled activities for the year-long program, with activities taking place between January 2022 and December 2022. Most activities will only require a computer and an internet connection to complete.
9 sessions take place on Zoom over the course of the year. Sessions are typically held on Wednesday evenings from 8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. ET. Each session will run for 90 minutes and recordings will be provided, although live participation is preferred.
Participants will complete a minimum of 6 Take Actions by the end of the program. Opportunities include participation in advocacy meetings, public speaking opportunities at USGLC events, and various writing assignments. Some Take Action items will be led by USGLC staff, while others will require autonomy from participants to seek and carry out.
