USGLC Welcomes New Leadership at U.S. Export-Import Bank

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition President and CEO Liz Schrayer released the following statement on the confirmation of top posts at the U.S. Export-Import Bank:

The USGLC is pleased to recognize the new leadership team to the U.S. Export-Import Bank, an important agency that helps advance America’s competitiveness in the global marketplace. We congratulate Kimberly Reed as the Bank’s new president along with Rep. Spencer Bachus and Judith Pryor on their confirmation to the Board of Directors.

Their prolonged confirmation process is a stark reminder that that too many diplomatic posts and development agencies still lack confirmed political leaders. With no shortage of brewing threats, it’s time for both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue to quickly move forward on more nominations and confirmations for America’s diplomatic and development posts.

Since 1995, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC.org) has been bringing together bipartisan political, military, business, farmer, faith, nonprofit, and community leaders from across the country to advocate on the strategic imperative of American leadership for advancing our own security, prosperity, and values. We believe that smart investments in international assistance and diplomacy, alongside defense, can make the world safer and America stronger.
