I applaud Members of Congress and the Administration for working together to promote women’s direct engagement in conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts around the world. Women have long acted as a stabilizing force for good – preventing conflict, countering terrorism, and promoting peace in their communities. When women are at the table, these efforts are far more likely to succeed.
