USGLC Launches 2022 Global Impact Project Report Showcasing Impactful, Innovative Public-Private Partnerships Addressing Global Challenges

Chemonics, Abbott, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DAI, and Tetra Tech share powerful stories for the Global Impact Project

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) today launched the 2022 Global Impact Project (GIP) Report, showcasing how businesses and organizations are partnering with the U.S. Government to address global challenges – creating impact abroad and in the United States. This year’s report features the impact stories of Chemonics, Abbott, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DAI, and Tetra Tech.

“I’m thrilled for the launch of our 2022 Global Impact Project Report, filled with new, inspiring stories of impactful public-private partnerships that are transforming lives around the world and advancing America’s interests,” said Liz Schrayer, USGLC President and CEO. “These stories remind us of how America must invest in international affairs programs – now, more than ever – that are creating global stability and in turn, American stability here at home. We are thankful to our valued partners – Chemonics, Abbott, Amazon, ExxonMobil, DAI, and Tetra Tech – for their leadership and these incredible stories of impact.”

The GIP Report highlights partnerships with the U.S. Government, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as with NGOs, multilateral organizations, and others that are actively working to make the world a better, safer, and healthier place. The report tells exceptional success stories of how catalyzing private sector resources, along with public sector resources, can lead to new approaches that help solve the world’s most pressing challenges—advancing our nation’s security and economic interests in one of the most unprecedented global environments in history.

Over the past two decades, American innovation, partnerships, and assistance helped to cut extreme poverty in half and save millions of lives around the world. Further, the return on investment was unmatched here at home—advancing America’s economy, national security, and humanitarian values.

Now a global pandemic, food crisis, conflicts, energy shocks, and climate disasters are reversing these gains, disproportionately impacting developing and emerging economies and causing setbacks to decades of progress for vulnerable populations worldwide. Sustainable solutions to these threats can only be achieved when the private and public sectors partner together and develop innovative programming to capitalize on the strengths of one another.
