USGLC CEO Applauds Senate Passage of National Security Emergency Package

WASHINGTON, DC – The USGLC President and CEO Liz Schrayer released the following statement on the Senate’s passage of the comprehensive national security emergency package:

Passing with a 70-vote majority in the U.S. Senate, the USGLC coalition applauds the Senate’s strong bipartisan vote for this essential national security emergency package. We commend the champions in the chamber who drove this package forward to final passage.

This vote sends a loud and clear message to our adversaries and our allies – and speaks to our humanitarian values. At a time when all the red warning lights are flashing from Russia, Iran, and China, we must ensure our nation is protecting American families here at home. This package to support Israel, Ukraine, and partners in the Indo-Pacific – including essential economic and humanitarian support – will be critical to stopping threats before they reach our shores.

We urge the swift passage of the full and comprehensive security, economic, and humanitarian package in the House of Representatives. Simply put, it’s in America’s national security interests.

Since 1995, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC.org) has been bringing together bipartisan political, military, business, farmer, faith, nonprofit, and community leaders from across the country to advocate on the strategic imperative of American leadership for advancing our own security, prosperity, and values. We believe that smart investments in international assistance and diplomacy, alongside defense, can make the world safer and America stronger.
