On September 28th and 29th, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition held its annual conference in Washington, D.C. This year’s events were focused on the theme “Smart Power at Work” and included an extraordinary roundtable with five of the top administration officials affecting development policy, a public launch of the Veterans for Smart Power initiative and new military poll findings, a unique discussion on the 2010 elections with David Gregory, and more. USGLC advocates and veterans traveled to Capitol Hill to speak directly with their members of Congress and their staffs about the importance of the International Affairs Budget and a smart power approach to our national security.
