The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) hosted Representative Adrian Smith (R-NE-03) at a virtual salon with Nebraska’s Advisory Committee members and other state leaders. Topics discussed in the fruitful conversation included international trade, Nebraskan agriculture, private sector engagement and innovation, and how Nebraska plays a vital role in tackling global challenges, such as hunger. Representative Smith was also joined by the President of Cargill Protein – North America, Hans Kabat. With 28,000 employees and over three dozen processing facilities in the U.S. and Canada, Cargill Protein – North America produces, distributes and sells a variety of protein products to retail, foodservice and food manufacturers throughout North America, and exports meat and by-products around the globe.
