USGLC activists in South Carolina met yesterday with Congressman John Spratt (D-SC), Chairman of the House Budget Committee, to discuss the FY11 International Affairs budget. Representatives from the academic, business, and faith-based communities joined together in saying how important this funding is for South Carolina’s security, economic well-being, and humanitarian values.
Attending the meeting were Fred Monk, President of ECI/New Markets and President of the Columbia World Affairs Council; Brenda Kneece, President of SC Christian Action Council; Stephen Dryden, President of The Mariner Group; Angie Edwards, Acting Director The International Center Winthrop University; and Nick Mauzin, corporate counsel at The Intertech Group.
