Washington, DC —The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition has selected accomplished international affairs expert William Davis to be its new Executive Director. In this role, Davis will be responsible for day-to-day management of the organization, guiding the growing advocacy coalition’s work in Washington and across the United States to educate the public on the importance of effective American engagement in the world and to rally support for U.S. international development and diplomacy.

The position will also involve close contact with the members of the USGLC’s board and advisory councils, which include three- and four-star generals and flag officers, top leaders of American businesses and non-profits, and every living former Secretary of State from Henry Kissinger to Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Will has extensive bipartisan ties to Capitol Hill and the foreign policy and political communities, and has exceptional depth of knowledge about our issues. I am confident that he will add inspiring leadership, strength and vision to our existing all-star team.”

Starting in mid-April, Davis will report to Schrayer, the founder of the coalition, who will continue her work in developing strategic partnerships and advancing the USGLC’s expanding national platform.

“I have long admired the USGLC, and have been engaged with many of its impressive staff, board members, and other top leaders through the years,” Davis said. “Now more than ever, America must be engaged in this complex world, and it is an honor to join the team at this pivotal time to help advance the USGLC’s critical mission.”

Davis currently serves as Director of the United Nations Development Program’s Washington office. Previously, he directed the UN Information Center in Washington, acting as the UN Secretariat’s senior representative in the U.S. capital. Davis has held senior positions at the State Department, National Security Council, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

He graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Studies, also from Duke University. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
