Oversees all funding for defense, intelligence, international affairs, and veterans’ programs across the federal government.
Michael Duffey assumed his role as Associate Director of National Security Programs at the Office of Management and Budget in May 2019 after serving as Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Defense. During his tenure at DOD, Duffey also served as a Special Assistant and Chief of Staff to the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Prior to his time at the Defense Department, Duffey served as the Associate Director for Presidential Personnel at the White House and Executive Director of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Over the course of his career, he has held various other positions at the Department of Defense and political campaigns, including serving as Senator John McCain’s Wisconsin State Director in 2008.
