Brian Hook

Serves as a senior advisor to the Secretary of State, oversees the State Department’s Iran Action Group, and coordinates the Department’s strategy on Iran.

Brian Hook serves as a Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of State and Special Representative for Iran. Hook previously held multiple positions during the George W. Bush Administration, including Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations, Senior Advisor to the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, and Special Assistant to the President for Policy, Office of the Chief of Staff. During the 2012 Presidential Campaign, he was senior foreign policy advisor for Romney for President, chaired the foreign policy and national security task forces of the Romney Readiness Project, and assisted Robert Zoellick on the Romney transition team. Hook is a co-founder of the John Hay Initiative. Hook also served as an advisor at Beacon Global Strategies and was founding partner for Latitude, LLC.
