USGLC Statement on U.S. Foreign Assistance

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Liz Schrayer, President and CEO of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC), released the following statement as the new Administration begins its 90-day assessment:

Strategic alignment of foreign assistance programs that are transparent, accountable, and cost-effective has rarely felt more urgent, given the ongoing and growing global threats we face. USGLC looks forward to working with the new Administration and Congress to continue to ensure our nation’s diplomacy and foreign assistance programs deliver for the American people to advance our national security and prosperity, including outcompeting China, avoiding costly wars, and developing new markets for American goods. Now is not the time to cede ground to our rivals.

Since 1995, the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC.org) has been bringing together bipartisan political, military, business, farmer, faith, nonprofit, and community leaders from across the country to advocate on the strategic imperative of American leadership for advancing our own security, prosperity, and values.
