Development & Program Operations Assistant

The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented, and creative Development & Program Assistant. This individual will provide overall operational support to USGLC’s fundraising and program efforts. This position will have shared responsibilities on the Development & Program Teams.  This position is based in Washington, D.C.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Program & Logistics Coordination Support the Program Team in planning small- and large-scale events in Washington, D.C. and around the country by communicating and coordinating directly with event vendors including caterers, facility managers, audio visual technicians and transportation services to make advance arrangements for events. 
  • Events Assistance – Assist the Program Team in executing programs with advance event support and follow-up. Events to include small meeting arrangements, state events, DC events, signature annual events, and supporting other members of the Program Team as needed. 
  • Fundraising and Donor Stewardship – Assist in managing the membership portfolio, and track membership deliverables. Support the Development Team in various membership responsibilities including donor research and preparing briefing materials.  
  • Fundraising Support – Maintain fundraising records in the database and maintain up to date fundraising materials.  Manage gift contribution analysis, processing, and data entry procedures to determine appropriate designations, donors and amounts. Create ad-hoc analytical reports and assist with the membership renewal cycle. Organize and maintain the integrity of record keeping and filing systems. 

Position Requirements: 

  • The position prefers 1 year of office management, scheduling, administrative experience. 
  • High attention to detail required. 
  • Must be proficient in MS Suite – Excel, Word, Office 365, PowerPoint. Understanding of databases and CRMs. 
  • Proficiency with virtual event and meeting platforms, such as Zoom, MS Teams, Cisco Webex, etc.   
  • Must be personable and collaborative; team player. 
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities; be self-motivated.   
  • Strong project management and organizational skills are required.   
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills are required. 
  • Interest in international affairs is a plus.   
  • Limited travel is expected.
