Data & Digital Marketing Assistant

The US Global Leadership Coalition is seeking a Data & Digital Marketing Assistant.  The Data Assistant will join a growing, fun, and creative communications team that works relentlessly to engage leaders around the country to tell the story of how American development and diplomacy builds a better, safer world.

The ideal candidate will have growing and proven experience in the email and digital arena, exceptional attention to detail, and a drive to leverage data to achieve engagement and advocacy outcomes.

The Data & Digital Marketing Assistant will report to the Data/CRM Senior Manager and work as a part of the Communications Team. Our communications team is driven to win – whether that means curating the perfect targeted email list, landing an op-ed at just the right political moment, or building a digital campaign that gets our message in front of top policymakers.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Email Platforms (40%) –Support the Data/CRM Senior Manager with email outreach and event marketing initiatives across a busy event calendar. This includes email engagement operations, creating event invitations, managing event webpages and CMS/CRM integrations, and generating supporting material. The associate will help manage and execute community communications, including a range of email mobilizations, executive emails, custom lists, and work across teams to identify opportunities for outreach optimization. The associate will also assist with managing the approval process for marketing communications to determine and optimize flow of email operations to prevent list burnout and maximize engagement.
  • Data Management (30%) –Support the functionality of all database and contact CRM and work across the organization to manage database content, which includes but is not limited to, list segmentation, contact de-duplication, managing unsubscribes, and bulk uploads of contact information. The associate will also support innovations to improve internal management and external outreach capabilities.
  • Analytics (15%) –Assist with owning and maintaining all email metrics across Quorum to provide best practices and optimize email open rates, CTR, and other success metrics.
  • Communications Team Support (15%) –Support the Communications Team with other digital content as needed.



  • A minimum of 1-year experience in communications, public relations, digital, or related work.
  • Proven experience with data manipulation in Excel is highly desirable.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with HTML, desktop, and web publishing software, specifically WordPress and Adobe InDesign are desirable.
  • Experience with CRM constituent databases such as Quorum is desirable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communications skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills; experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A flexible team player who shares responsibility and credit.
  • Campaign or political experience is desirable.
  • Graphic design experience preferred, but not required.
