The US Global Leadership Coalition is seeking an experienced Communications and Press Manager. The Communications and Press Manager will join a growing, fun, and creative communications team that works relentlessly to tell the story of how American development and diplomacy builds a better, safer world. The manager will be a forward-thinking communications professional with the skills to advance our organization’s agenda, increase the USGLC’s message and visibility, and expand our constituency through active engagement with our community, our membership and the media.
This position is responsible for crafting and driving our press, written messaging, and op-ed placements in state and local papers across the country to support a proactive national media engagement strategy. The Manager will lead the drafting of our newsletters highlighting the latest in global affairs and resources and messaging from USGLC. The Manager will also be responsible for managing the website and content strategy for the USGLC blog, including coordinating with other departments and editing content, as well as providing logistical communications support for USGLC events. This position is based in Washington, DC.
