Wyoming’s international engagement fuels job growth and helps to increase its exports. Over 475 Wyoming companies exported $1.9 billion worth of goods in 2022, which helped support over 77,000 jobs in the state.

• In Wyoming, 77,400 jobs were supported by international trade in 2019, representing 18.8% of all jobs in the state.^1,2
• In 2020, 485 companies exported goods from Wyoming of which 79% were small- and medium-sized enterprises. In 2018, 7,700 people were employed by affiliates of companies at least 50% foreign-owned.^3,4

• Wyoming exported $1.4 billion in goods to foreign markets in 2021, a 17% increase compared to 2020 driven by continued economic recovery from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy.⁵

• During 2020, 780 international students were enrolled in Wyoming colleges and universities and contributed $16.4 million to the Wyoming economy.¹⁰

• Since 1961, 547 Peace Corps volunteers from Wyoming have served in dozens of countries overseas.¹¹
