State Action: Washington
The USGLC has a strong presence in Washington, where the international affairs budget is vital to the local economy. From 1992 to 2006 the number of jobs in Washington dependent on international trade nearly doubled to 18.5%. Join the USGLC in helping build a more prosperous and safer Washington.
Despite being only 1% of the total Federal Budget, the International Affairs Budget includes programs that cover a breadth of U.S. State Department activities and other international efforts that promote global stability and provide for the security and well-being of all Americans. Read about the impact of the International Affairs Budget on Washington with our Washington State Fact Sheet.
