USGLC Applauds Congress for Ensuring Foreign Aid is Effective, Transparent and Accountable

WASHINGTON – USGLC President and CEO Liz Schrayer issued the following statement on the Senate passage of H.R. 3766, the Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act of 2015:

The USGLC applauds the Senate for passing important legislation that ensures our foreign assistance programs continue to be effective, accountable, and results-driven. The unanimous passage of the Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act is a tribute to the bipartisan leadership of Senators Rubio and Cardin, who shepherded the bill through the chamber.

Over the last decade – thanks to Republicans and Democrats on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue – America’s foreign assistance programs have undergone a transformation. This drive towards transparency and accountability continues to be integrated and create impact in our food security, global health, and energy programs. This legislation will ensure even greater results and strengthen America’s global leadership.
