House Appropriations Mark Bolsters American Engagement in the World

Washington, DC —The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition released the following statement from Co-Presidents Bill Lane of Caterpillar and Carolyn Miles of Save the Children on the House Appropriations Committee’s FY 2015 302b funding allocations:

“As challenges from Africa to Ukraine continue to mount, we applaud Chairman Hal Rogers, Subcommittee Chairwoman Kay Granger, and Ranking Member Nita Lowey for their leadership and ensuring America’s interests are advanced in today’s complex world.

“Our international affairs programs enable us to respond to life-threatening humanitarian crises, tackle the root causes of conflict and extremism, and build new markets for U.S. businesses. The International Affairs Budget may be one percent of federal spending, but it brings a tremendous return on investment back to America.”
