Susan Brems is Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator in the Bureau for Global Health, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), a position she assumed in July 2010. USAID’s Bureau for Global Health is a crucial part of America’s international development work, supporting field health programs, advancing research related to Agency health objectives and transferring new technologies to the field. Brems is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, rank of Minister-Counselor. Prior to this position, Brems was Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Global Health, during August 2009-July 2010. Before coming to the Bureau for Global Health, Brems served as Mission Director of USAID in Angola (2007-2009). As of 7/19/11
