Susan Reichle has been Assistant to the Administrator for the Bureau of Policy, Planning, and Learning since August 2010. In this position, she leads the bureau in USAID responsible for policy development and modernization, strategic-planning coordination, and donor engagement. Prior to this position, Ms. Reichle was a career Senior Foreign Service Officer, joining USAID in 1991. She served in Haiti, Nicaragua, Russia, and she was Mission Director in Colombia in 2009. She also served as Deputy Coordinator in the Department of States’s Office of the Coordinator for Reconstruction and Stabilization (S/CRS) prior to her position in Columbia. Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Reichle was Senior Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance. As of 7/25/11
