Vets for Smart Power
Today is the official launch of the USGLC’s new Veterans for Smart Power campaign, an effort to bring together veterans across America who understand how important our civilian-led tools are to our national security. Veterans for Smart Power are veterans of all ages and ranks who recognize the unprecedented security challenges our nation faces today require a “smart power” approach where development and diplomacy are equal pillars alongside defense in our national security toolkit. Veterans concerned about America’s future can add their name to the growing number of military voices in support of smart power, and add their personal stories to USGLC’s collection of men and women in uniform who have seen first-hand why investments in diplomacy and development are investments in America’s security.
