Obama’s first National Security Strategy is being released shortly, and it’s right on target with the smart power agenda:  “We will ensure greater and more deliberate focus on a global development agenda across the United States Government, from policy analysis through policy implementation. We are increasing our foreign assistance, expanding our investments in effective multilateral development institutions, and leveraging the engagement of others to share the burden.”  Secretary Clinton and National Security Advisor Jones are both speaking about the Strategy this afternoon, so check back later for more information.
