As World Trade Week wraps up, USGLC members from the business community are on Capitol Hill this morning talking with Congressional staff about how important the International Affairs Budget is to our economy.  As 1 out of 5 American jobs are tied to international trade, and our fastest growing markets representing roughly half of all U.S. exports are developing countries, the International Affairs Budget is critical to global economic security.

As the Senate Appropriations Committee prepares to make the all-important 302(b) appropriations allocations, a bipartisan group of twenty senators so far have signed on to a letter to Chairman Inouye and Ranking Member Cochran asking them to fully fund the President’s International Affairs Budget request.
