This morning, USGLC members are on Capitol Hill meeting with 39 Members and/or their staffs urging them to support the President’s $58.8 billion International Affairs Budget request in the appropriations committees.  With the $4 billion cut by the Senate Budget Committee and the unlikelihood of a budget resolution, this funding must be restored by appropriators. Senators Kerry (D-MA), Lugar (R-IN), Bond (R-MO), Durbin (D-IL) and Feinstein (D-CA) are circulating a letter encouraging their colleagues to ask Senate appropriators to support the President’s full request.
