USGLC on the Hill
This morning the USGLC is on Capitol Hill, in partnership with InterAction, to provide Capitol Hill staffers and USGLC members a comprehensive briefing on the President’s $58.5 billion FY11 International Affairs Budget request. The briefing will focus on the importance of the President’s proposed funding increase for America’s smart power tools of development and diplomacy and their impact on national security, economic growth, and saving lives overseas. The briefing is a timely one. When Congress returns next week from its Presidents Day recess, action will begin on the all-important FY 11 budget resolution.
