Gen. Petraeus Tonight in Tampa at USGLC Event
Tonight in a forum jointly hosted in Tampa by the USGLC and the Tampa Bay Council on World Affairs, General Petraeus, head of U.S. Central Command, will be speaking about the vital role civilian tools play in U.S. national security in the 21st century. Gen. Petraeus will be making the case that investments in development and diplomacy play huge dividends in the form of greater security and prosperity. He will be joined tonight by Dick Batchelor, CEO of the Dick Batchelor Management Group; Betty Castor, Former President of the University of South Florida and Former Florida Commissioner of Education; Ken Hagan, Chairman of the Hillsborough County Board of Commissioners; Richard Wainio, CEO of the Tampa Port Authority; Stephen Albee, President of the Tampa Bay Council of World Affairs and Commerce; and Liz Schrayer, USGLC’s Executive Director.
