USGLC National Security Advisory Council member Tony Lake is rumored to be the next head of UNICEF, according to Foreign Policy. Sources indicate that the White House is pushing for the former National Security Advisor and Obama campaign advisor to lead the development agency. Lake would be taking over from current UNICEF Executive Director Ann Veneman, former Secretary of Agriculture who was appointed by President George W. Bush to the UNICEF post in 2005.  Her term expires in April.
