State Advisory Committees and Their Successes
The tremendous response to the FY11 ‘Dear Colleague’ Letter currently being circulated in Congress is a testament to the dedication and talent of USGLC’s state advisory committees. Particularly active have been the steering committees and our activists in Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, Maine and New Hampshire. Multiple representatives from each of these states have signed on to the letter encouraging President Obama to request a robust International Affairs Budget, demonstrating the wide support our civilian-led tools of development and diplomacy have.
