David Sandalow, Assistant Secretary for Policy and International Affairs for the Department of Energy, is a principal advisor to Secretary of Energy Steven Chu on diplomacy and energy policy. He works with Secretary Chu and other government agencies to advance U.S. energy goals, including international climate agreements, alternative energy research, and bilateral energy initiatives. After serving as an associate director for the White House Council on Environmental Quality under President Clinton, Sandalow was appointed Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans, Environment & Science.
