Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State

A close adviser and confidant to Hillary Clinton for many years, Cheryl Mills was a member of Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign before becoming the State Department’s chief of staff. In this position, Mills is responsible for carrying out the goals and priorities of the Secretary and the Obama administration. In particular, Mills will play a leadership role in the administration’s food security initiative, a large-scale, multinational program to address hunger, improve agricultural output, and build sustainable economies in the developing world.
