Coordinator for Threat Reduction Programs

As Coordinator for Threat Reduction Programs in the Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation at the State Department, Jenkins will conduct diplomacy efforts aimed at reducing national security threats.  Jenkins joined the State Department having served as Program Officer for U.S. Foreign and Security Policy at the Ford Foundation, as well as counsel on the “9-11 Commission” and lead Commission staff member for counterterrorism policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.  Jenkins is a retired Naval Reserve Officer.
